All ABA anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship. American Bass Anglers is the largest tournament organization for the weekend angler. American Bass Anglers operates the American Fishing Tour, The Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series and the American Couples Series. Each tour is design specifically for the weekend angler offering low cost and close to home events so the anglers can qualify for larger championship. SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI – District 64 from the American Fishing Tour announces the schedule for the upcoming 2012 season. The 8 events will consist of 7 one day events and a 2 day championship.

 

August 13, 2011 - Taneycomo - Rockaway
Sept 17, 2011 - Taneycomo - Rockaway
November 12 – Bull Shoals – K Dock

January 21 – Bull Shoals – K Dock

February 25 – Bull Shoals – K Dock

March 24 – Table Rock Lake – Cape Fair 

April 21 - Table Rock Lake – Cape Fair
May 26 - Table Rock Lake – Cape Fair 

Two Day Championship

June 9 and 10 – Bull Shoals – K Dock


Points earned from the top 4 one day events and the two day championship will determine District 64’s Angler of the Year and are also used to earn a berth in ABA’s National tournament next October. The winner of the National tournament will receive a Triton/Mercury boat package.


The top angler from each division will be invited to compete in the Angler of the Year Final Round. The angler just has fished 4 one-days and 1 Divisional Championship in the same division and be that Division's Angler of the Year and be ranked in the top 500 nationally. Only the Division's AOY will be invited to compete. See more info on the 2011 AOY Final Round The AOY will receive a Triton/Mercury boat package.
